This year's top accolade, the Designer of the Year award, goes to Brit designer Luella Bartley.

Luella Bartley’s label, Luella, is one of the country’s most popular exports. She came to fashion design via journalism having worked at the Evening Standard and Vogue. She made her catwalk debut in 2000 with a collection entitled 'Daddy, Who Were The Clash?'. A year later she started showing her collections in New York but made a triumphant return to London Fashion Week in September 2007, where she has been showing since. Her current autumn/winter 2008 collection was influenced by The Wicker Man and the witch museum in Boscastle, Cornwall, where she lives.
